CBSE CTET 2014 Exam pattern and Syllabus

Central board of secondary education (CBSE) has plans to conducted Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) in February 2014. This year a huge number of candidates applied for CTET February 2013 examination. CTET exam contains two papers. The candidates who interested primary teacher posts need to apply for paper 1 and those who are interested in upper primary teacher posts need apply for paper 2. As per the schedule CBSE CTET Paper -1 examination will be conducted on  16.02.2014 and CTET paper -2 examination will be conducted in the same day but in morning session.

The CBSE board plans to issue the CTET February 2014 admit cards from 9 January 2014 on its official website www.ctet.nic.in. For detailed syllabus of Central Teacher Eligibility Test refer below information .

Paper I (for classes I to V) Primary Stage:

I. Child Development and Pedagogy - 30 Questions
a) Child Development (Primary School Child) - 15 Questions
b) Concept of Inclusive education and understanding children with special needs - 5 Questions
c) Learning and Pedagogy - 10 Questions
II. Language I. - 30 Questions
a) Language Comprehension  - 15 Questions
b) Pedagogy of Language Development - 15 Questions
III. Language – II 30 Questions
a) Comprehension - 15 Questions
b) Pedagogy of Language Development -  15 Questions
IV. Mathematics - 30 Questions
a) Content - 15 Questions
b) Pedagogical issues - 15 Questions
V. Environmental Studies - 30 Questions
a) Content - 15 Questions
b) Pedagogical Issues - 15 Questions

Paper II (for classes VI to VIII) Elementary Stage:
