Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India Level Entrance exam conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science(IISC) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology(IITS) on behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.The Organizing Institute for GATE 2014 is IIT Kharagpur.
Eligibility for GATE 2014 Exam :
- Candidates who Have Completed Their graduation Degree in the Following streams B.Tech,B.E,B.Arch,B.Pharm,B.S,And Master Degree in the Following Courses M.Sc,M.A,MCA,M.E,M.Tech,M.S.
- The candidates who have passed their Graduation in 2013 or eariler need to submit Degree Completion certificate or Provisional certificate or Course Compeletion certificate
- The Students who are pursuing their Final year or candidates holding backlog subjects and expect for final results need to submit certificate from principal.
GATE 2014 Application Fee:
- General and OBC Males Candidates Need To Pay `1500/-
- Women Candidates for any Category need to pay ` 750/-
*** Candidates who are make Online Net Banking Payment need to pay ` 10 Extra Amount.
*** Candidates who are make offline payment Through SBI Challan,Syndicate Bank need to pay ` 25 Extra Amount.
Exam Syllabus and Pattern of GATE 2014:
The GATE 2014 examination consists of single paper consists 65 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks and duration of exam is 3 Hours.A new paper Ecology and Evolution is introduced in GATE 2014.Examinations for all the 22 papers will be conducted by an ONLINE Computer Based Test (CBT).
